Packaging has evolved much in the last decades from being a container to becoming an important element of product design. Food packaging design provides a surface to a brand that communicates information about the product and brand.
Graphic Designers Make Way for the Single Serve Trend
When thinking of trends in the way food is packaged and consumed, single serve portions are only getting more popular as time goes on. People just can’t get enough of the convenience offered in a grab and go package and food that does not require much prep.
The single serve food trend not only makes for differences in the way people are eating, it also means that branding and graphic design agencies have to get on board with new trends in food packaging. Here are some of the things they will want to take note of when considering food packaging labels design.
Packaging and Labels
Single serve products have requirements that might differ from other types of products. For instance, the nutrition information must pertain only to that serving whereas, on a multi-serve pack, information should be provided for single and full package servings.
Also, because information is displayed differently, considerations must be made for the type of font that is being used, how the design custom logo will be displayed and other graphic elements.
